Leo Club of Tortola spreads Christmas cheer!

The Leo Club of Tortola is a non-profit service organisation of persons between the ages of 18-28, which is affiliated with the Lions Club of Tortola.
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Christmas in the Virgin Islands community is normally synonymous with a few things, including the Lions Club’s Annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree.

In addition to assisting the Lions Club of Tortola in its annual tradition this year, the Leo Club of Tortola sought to bring its own brand of Christmas cheer to the residents at the Adina Donovan Home.

Members of the Leo Club of Tortola visited the Adina Donovan Home for the Elderly on Saturday December 10, 2011 while donating of gift baskets containing personal hygiene products and gift baskets including soft fruits were also made to the Home.

Vice President, Tira Hodge commented that Christmas was really a time about giving back to the community and encouraged everyone to do their part to spread the Christmas spirit.

She also expressed that although the Club gives generously throughout the year, it’s work during the holiday season was very dear to her heart. She said that she was looking forward especially to the Club’s Annual Christmas Party for Children with Special Needs in a few days time.
