Knights & Mambas are SCBBC Easter Champions

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Sea Cows Bay Basketball Club concluded its Easter Tournament on Sunday 8 May, 2016 on the outdoor court with the St George's Knights and Seventh-Day Adventist Black Mambas declared Champions of their respective age groups.

St George's Knights had a repeat victory, 72-62, over Mad Game to lift the 13-15 Year Age Group Championship, led by 30 points from Kaundre Clarke.

Clarke added 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 10 assists to his performance, whilst D’Andre Penn scored 20 points with 8 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 assists and 1 block. Donald Layne finished with 11 points, 16 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 assists, 5 blocks and Kade Chalwell notched 8 points, 10 rebounds and 2 steals.

For Mad Game, Antwon Robinson scored 28 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, 2 assists and a block, Jermine Wintz added 10 points, 5 rebounds, Shacoy Cheltenham 8 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists and Evanson Cottoy 8 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks.

The Individual Awards went to:

Most Points, 29, Kandre Clarke, St George's   
Most Rebounds, 14,   Kade Chalwell, St George's
Most Steals, 8, Larique Austrie, Seventh Day Adventist
Most Assists, 8, D'Andre  Penn, St George's
Most Blocks, 6, D'Andre Penn, St George's
Sportsmanship Award, Evanson Cottoy, Mad Game

In the 9-12 Age Group Championship game, the SDA Black Mambas beat Parsons Green Machine, 38-31, led by 17 points from Lenique Austrie.

Austrie added 3 steals and 1 block, whilst Aaron Williams Junior hit 14 points with 7 rebounds and Denvin Jones 7 points, 1 rebound and 3 blocks.

The top performers for Green Machine were Keshawn Esprit with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, Jason Audain 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 8 blocks and Jamar Thomas 5 points, 1 steal.

The Individual Trophies went to:
