VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- The third and final race of the Dive BVI 5K Series on Virgin Gorda was held on Saturday March 26, 2016, minus the usual strong Tortola support after the ferry for the main island runners was cancelled at the last minute.

That did not stop Reuben J. A. Stoby from making it across to the sister island and ensuring a clean sweep of the series.

Stoby, coming off a second place finish in the Carrot Bay leg of the Blenheim Trust 5K Series, pulled away from the lead group after the first mile to win in 18:18.

St John’s Jeremy Zuber, who has won the 8 Tuff Miles on that island some six times, took second place in 19:20 while Curwin Andrews finished third in 20:57, beating his arch nemesis and veteran runner Emrol Amsterdam who clocked 21:11 for fourth.

On the distaff side, and with no Rosmond Johnson, Katrina Krumpler or Maria Mays, Rebecca Knight won in 25:31. She also claimed the series with the win.

Tara Murphy was second in 31:40 and Tasia Veenkamp third in 32:18.
