Karl ‘Dub’ Scatliffe resigns as President of BVI Taxi Association

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Reports just reaching our newsroom is that President of the BVI Taxi Association, Mr Karl ‘Dub’ Scatliffe has tendered his resignation.

This information was disclosed by a member of the Association and later confirmed by a letter posted on the bulletin board of the BVI Taxi Association.

According to the letter, Scatliffe’s resignation took immediate effect. It is news site’s understanding that the resignation was tendered sometime between the evening of Monday July 6 and Tuesday July 7, 2015.

Contacted by this newsroom, Mr Scatliffe declined to divulge his reason/s for resigning at the time but promised to afford this news site an in-depth interview with “his lawyers” as a number of allegations were levied against him by a caller to this news site.

Scatliffe also said his resignation comes just about one or two months ahead of the Association’s elections.

This news site has also learnt that other elected members have resigned since the last elections, including the Vice President and Secretary.

    So what is the big deal about this resignation. People resign from jobs daily and get no interview.

      That's true 75 and more staff out of a job because of the closing down of the biras creek and none of us were interviewed so I can't see what the big deal is

    This guy is truly a waste of time .Try to be leader of every group he is around ,only those taxi men had him as a good leader ,now he cant report nothing going on with the stand they force him to resign .Poor little hopeless kid let down those old well seasoned taxi men .what would u fail at next?

      i really want to know why y'all trying to diss this man. All this man does try to do is help others and be a role model for the youths. A man really aint a king in his own country half of y'all don't even know whats going on but yet y'all have opinions #undercover u is a hater yo lol get a life. I'm glad he left that s..t hole. Ayo need get rid them old seasoned taxi men cause they stuck in the pass and cant adapt to changes. y'all hating a.. ppl get y'all mind right. what would y'all hate on next!?
