ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The team of jurors in the murder trial of Allen ‘Tiger’ Hodge has failed to come up with a unanimous verdict or an acceptable majority vote in the High Court of the Virgin Islands.

Marcus Lloyd, Wakeem Guishard and Mitch Christopher were being tried for the murder that occurred in September 2010 at ‘Tiger’s’ home.

Following deliberations, which began this afternoon, March 27, 2015 the jury came out indicating that they had not reached a unanimous decision and were asked by Justice Nicole Byer if they needed more time to see if they could get reach one.

After agreeing to the suggestion, the jury went back into deliberation but at 5:17pm returned with the same decision.

They were then asked if a majority vote was received, to which they answered in the affirmative. 6-3 was the majority vote for each of the defendants, however, that was deemed unacceptable for a majority vote for or against the defendants and the jury was thanked and discharged.

The High Court is to reconvene on April 15, 2015 on the way forward on the matter.

The defendants have been remanded in the meantime.

Attorneys at Law Mr Patrick Thompson, Mr Jamal S. Smith and Mrs Valerie Stephens-Gordon represented the accused men.
