ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The retrial of Marcus Lloyd, Wakeem Guishard and Mitch Christopher will start tomorrow March 9, 2016, in the High Court, following the failure of the jury in March 2015 to come to a decision on the trial.

The jury was today March 8, 2016 empanelled in preparation for the commencement of the retrial of the three men accused of murdering Daren Allen 'Tiger' Hodge in 2010 at his home.

The team of jurors in the murder trial of ‘Tiger’ Hodge had failed to come up with a unanimous verdict or an acceptable majority vote in the High Court.

Following deliberations on March 27, 2015 the jury re-emerged indicating that they had not reached a unanimous decision and were asked by Justice Nicole Byer if they needed more time to see whether they could reach one.

After agreeing to the suggestion, the jury went back into deliberation but at 5:17pm returned with the same decision.

Justice Byer then asked them if they had a majority vote, to which they answered in the affirmative. 6-3 was the majority vote for each of the defendants, however, that was deemed unacceptable for a majority vote for or against the defendants and the jury was thanked and discharged.
