MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica, WI - After 8 days of great goals and quality action Jamaica lifted the 2014 Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Men's Caribbean Cup, on Tuesday November 18, 2014, after defeating Trinidad & Tobago in a penalty shootout.

In the first half both teams attacked searching for an early advantage in the tense atmosphere. Kenwyne Jones had an early look on goal, but Jamaican Goalkeeper Andre Blake was equal to the shot sending it out for a corner.

Jamaican Captain Rudolph Austin who was outstanding in midfield all match would also come close in midway through the first half.

In the second half Jamaica would begin dominating possession in the match as the Reggaeboyz seem to receive a new burst of energy. Striker for the Boyz Darren Mattocks was outstanding giving the Trinidad defense trouble, but Trinidad would also have their moments, as attacking pair Kenwyne Jones and Kevin Molino gave the Jamaican defense a torrid time.

As the match ended scoreless in regulation, extra time was used to try and separate both teams. However, after being scoreless after the extra time both teams would go into the dreaded penalty shootout.

The first miss of the night would come as a surprise as Cardiff City forward Kenwyne Jones missed from the spot for Trinidad & Tobago as Andre Blake would make the first save.

Trinidad would recover when Michael Seaton hit a low shot which Jan Williams would save. After being deadlocked on penalties it was Khaleem Hyland who would hit his penalty over the bar which gave Jamaica the victory and 2014 CFU Men's Caribbean Cup.
