IPhone thief Nikita Naval caught red-handed
Naval will have to answer as to how he became in possession of an IPhone which was found on his person after it went missing from the vehicle of the Virtual Complainant on August 11, 2014 while in Sea Cow’s Bay.
Currently he is on $10K bail for the allegations against him. However the court was told that subsequent to the phone going missing Naval had attempted to have the phone unlocked at an iSmart store in Road Town.
CCT footage at the iSmart store as Police Officers were conducting investigations following a report of the phone being missing identified Naval in the footage inside the store. A salesperson at the iSmart store had also told the Police that Naval had taken the phone to the store to have it unlocked.
The salesperson also told the Police that when the accused had brought the phone to the store there was a message urging who ever had the phone to return it.
On August 29, 2014 Police confronted Naval in Baugher’s Bay and told him of the report which at the time he denied. He was searched and the phone was found on him and the Virtual Complainant identified the phone as his.

They call them Smart phone and not idiot phones for a reason. they all have remote GPS chips that can be turned off or on by any computer and tracked within inches of the device! Unless you are the head of the bvi traffic department you can't get away with this...
