ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – They may be living in different homes but for the Interact Club of Road Town the bond that has been developed over the years with the Eslyn Henley Richez Learning Centre they consider themselves nothing but a family and lunch today November 27, 2014 was with family.

Interactors of the club turned out in record numbers at the centre at lunch time today which is being celebrated as Thanksgiving Day to have lunch with the children and teachers at the centre with a tempting layout of turkey, ham, macaroni pie, scalloped potatoes and the list goes on.

According to the President of the Club Ms Tamara A. Caesar this makes it the twelfth year that the club has been engaging in the lunch activity with the children on Thanksgiving Day.

She said that the interaction is not one that is isolated for Thanksgiving Day but rather they are regular faces to the centre where they do many activities all year around.

On the spot to support the younger ones were the other members of the Rotary family including the Rotaractors.

Once their plates were emptied and their lips licked shine the children of the centre rose to say ‘thank you’ in special way and in singing their goodbye song they made sure there was a verse that invited their Interact family to return soon.

Instead of applauding the youths for doing a kind deed you have something negative to say. They're not doing it for fame. They could be doing something negative with their time. In whatever they make fundraising they try to give back to the community. So why is it a problem for them to now showcase what they do. People always talking about NGOs not doing anything for the community...well they're showing you a little.

As for who Is the Virgin Islands, I guess when Christopher Columbus came sailing across from Europe looking for the far east and landed in Hispaniola which is today Haiti & Santo Domingo he only saw Tortola lol, he didn't see any other Islands on the way.
