July 30/ Life is poetic

So many of you have joined me at my online home, ApoeticLife.com, over the years. Well it was time to reflect, reset, redecorate, and refocus, which is what I have done. Join me in this new era, which together we have begun.

ApoeticLife.com is a new experience unlike you have ever known before. It is designed so that upon your visit you leave with so much more.

July 29/ To the meek

Sometimes I have to remind myself that I am a spiritual being having a human experience. Otherwise I’d be in danger of being burdened by the mindset, identity and the definition of who society says I am and what I’m worth because I’m black and male. I’ve heard it all my life, “this is the white man’s world”, “life is not fair”, “you can’t do this or that because you’re black”, and we who have attempted to climb all have the scars on our backs, from the crabs in the bucket trying to pull us back. So we’re victims of both races and a target in both ghetto and corporate places.

The perspective of some church folks is that all we can do is pray, until God comes back to collect “His people” on that day. I think it would be cruel for God to create you just to be a sheep, to sit down, shut your mouth to copy and repeat.

If you believe He created you and you’re more than just a monkey that evolved, then why are you living as though you have no power to effect change upon it all? I’m not trying to be a hero, but I do know I’m not a zero. I know I wasn’t born a sheep and I don’t plan to convert just because it’s popular to be meek.

I’m driven by a spiritual force that is beyond this world; and it would not have mattered if I happened to be black, white, boy or girl. I’m not saying racism, sexism, prejudice and injustice are not real. I’m saying we have played like sheep when we have the power to be lions in this field. You have been in a pen with your kin eating grass, praying to God that He would send someone else to complete your task. I’m saying that we are the instruments God would use, if we were not so busy at the alter telling Him we refuse.

July 20/ Are you in love with a child?

When children aren't taught how to love and be loved they grow up into emotionally constipated adults that have never really grown up at all. And who discovers that are the others trying to reach them from the other side of their emotional wall. They can't be reached for comment because that’s like asking a child to take an adult phone call. So you suffer because you discover that you are in love with a child; You long for stimulation on levels they haven't matured enough yet to provide. So you stay because you can't imagine being without them for one day. You wither away because you need to be loved too, but in time you will learn, that on such an investment there shall be no return.

I pray that your heart survives the break. I pray that the wisdom that pours through the cracks leads you to the wholeness that you lack, because who you are determines whom you will attract. I pray that you find yourself in a loving situation where when you give love it gives back.

Thank you faithful folks who look forward to reading my work. YOU are the only reason I continue to share. YOU are the only reason I wrote Lies I Never Quite Believed. YOU are why I continue with ApoeticLife.com.

There is so much negativity, hate and nonsense people project on to others especially on these websites in the comment sections etc. I use the word project because if they had love in their hearts for themselves thats what they would give you. So don't take their nonsense personal, it's not about you regardless of what they say, it's about them. So I won't address them here or anywhere else for that matter, because I believe that if you don't want negativity in your life DO NOT set the table for it.
