ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The case against Bernard Charles, a Virgin Gordian resident who was charged with indecent assault stemming from the allegations that he molested a 10 year-old girl at his home, has been traversed to the February 2012 assizes.

While the Crown was ready to proceed to trial, Charles’ lawyer Herbert McKenzie was not. Four witnesses will be called for the prosecution, according to Crown Counsel Sarah Benjamin on December 12, 2011.

Court records reveal that Charles, who was then employed as a Boat Captain at Bitter End, allegedly took the Virtual Complainant (VC) to his home on December 3, 2010.

It was there he allegedly invited the minor to his bedroom and touched her private parts.

The incident came to light when the VC informed her mother of the alleged incident, prompting police to investigate.
