ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – From Pasea to the Administration Complex area in Road Town there was nothing that could deter revelers from tramping behind the music trucks of VIBE and Show Time bands this morning August 4, 2014.

Thousands turned out for Rise and Shine Tramp #1. The two trucks carrying the revelers through the paces of real jouvert style reveling were VIBE and Showtime. For some, they opted to stay behind one particular band throughout while others paced between the two.

However it was very noticeable that for the most part Showtime had the largest contingent of revelers but that was definitely not much of a concern to either as the focus was to have a good time as both bands and revelers were on key.

A short distance off Pasea heavy downpours of rain came down on the mammoth crowd and this time around there was no running for covers as it seemed as though it added to the fun of the morning rise and shine tramp.

This morning’s rise and shine could be said to have been violence and otherwise incident free and officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force who were strategically placed between and alongside the tramp were cheered along the way by several groups of revelers.

They also had the fullest support of the revelers and the bands when they passed the instruction to stop the music at around 7:10am as it was time to pave the way for the Sunrise service at the Administration Building to be followed later this morning by the August Monday Parade.

    I had Craaazy fun this year...Showtime was loud but not clear and had the most ppl but VIbe sounded damn good to me I jus love their songs. Anytime they were in front it was trouble for Showtime.
