'In God there is no panic, but prepare' - Bishop Cline on Coronavirus
"If you listen to the voice of the Lord, if you keep your eyes on him and pay attention to all of his decrees, he says I will put none of these diseases on you that visited the Egyptians because I am the Lord that heals you," Bishop Cline said in a social media video released today, Mach 14, 2020.
Church putting measures in places
However, while encouraging Virgin Islanders to pray with an assurance that they are protected under the Lord, Bishop Cline noted that his church will still be implementing measures to keep worshipers safe at the next Sunday service.
"We expect to see you tomorrow... We will have some things in place tomorrow for when you arrive at the service to ensure that there is minimal impact of our social gatherings," Bishop Cline said.
Quoting more of the scripters, the man of the cloth noted that once Christians set their eyes on God, they will be protected from horrible diseases.
"We have to stand on the word of the lord that if we continue to trust God, if we continue to pray, if we continue to follow his words and his commands, even though diseases are all around us, it will not come near our dwelling," Mr Cline said.
Economic Impacts
According to the Bishop, his prayer is for the VI to remain safe with the belief that God will see the territory through the period and he warned of economic implications to come with cruise ship calls now on a 30-day restriction, in addition to issues surrounding food importation.
"So don't go crazy again, don't panic but prepare and save some money... in case of emergency, if need be," he said.
Just yesterday, Friday, March 13, 2020, Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) also cautioned against mass gatherings with the postponement of several festivals, however, he encouraging local pastors to pray for the Territory.

You have said and I quote, “ he says I will put none of these diseases on you that visited the Egyptians because I am the Lord that heals you,"
In our times, He does not put any diseases on anyone in the first place.
Is what you have said in the scripture. Yes it is, but why do you not yet understand. That is Old Testament. Everything has changed when Jesus was crucified. He was the perfect sacrifice to satiate the anger of God against humanity.
When Jesus walked this earth one of His ministry was healing the sick. It is absolutely preposterous to think He would make you sick then come and heal you because he looking for attention. He is not like that.
Also, note that you are not blessed because you do good and punished because you do bad. You are blessed because He did good and when bad things happen is because you step outside of your hedge.
The concern is not the virus, it is the spirit of fear; apart from what is, there is no need to panic. However, ensure that your government has at least 90 days supply of food and the pipe borne water must remain on everyday even if it has to be turned off at certain times during the day. It must be available to the people every day.
