How did this vehicle get there?
Upon arrival on the scene a Meter Reading vehicle belonging to the BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) was seen in what appeared to have been a freak accident.
While there no one was seriously injured or hurt to the extent of calling the ambulance commuters pondered if the Police Traffic Department should be called in for this one.
Recently the Commissioner of Police Mr David Morris had said that not all traffic accidents warranted police presence. But does this one fit the bill?
The vehicle is stuck in a position that compromises the flow of traffic on the road which is usually heavily commuted by vehicular traffic. As is, that section can only allow for the passage of two very small vehicles side by side. The average sized vehicle usually has to give way for the other to pass.
Up to press time the traffic had to be diverted through other longer routes but not before they actually arrive in the direct path of the stuck vehicle since they had no way of knowing that they should use another route.
This leaves the pondering question, is this one too minor for the Police to be called in?
