ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Virgin Islands’ (VI) House of Assembly will meet again on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the Chambers in Road Town, the Capital City.

The legislative body last met on April 26, 2018, when the Leader of Government Business, outgoing Premier, Dr the Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL), moved the Opposition questions and answers to the end of the Order Paper.

It is unclear, if with the Fifth Sitting, of the Third House of Assembly, they will be placed back on the Order Paper.

Our newsroom was told by senior National Democratic Party (NDP) sources that the “Order Paper is not ready, as the Speaker is in the Caymans”.

The public is also on watch to see when the Assembly will be dissolved, to make way for a new General Election. Many are predicting a 2018 poll.
