Hons Fraser & Fahie praised for keeping country informed
The three VIP Legislators were part of the panelist on the radio show on January 7, 2014 on ZBVI 780 AM. The male caller told the panel that “I just want to thank both Mr Fraser and Mr Fahie and Uncle Ralph for their service to the country…if it was not for the serious questions from Hon Fraser and Fahie in the House of Assembly we would have never known about the corruption in this country”.
The caller also said he was anxious for the next general election to take place and for Hon Fraser to lead the county.
The caller also went on to praise the Virgin Islands Party Chairman Honourable Julian Fraser RA, for his brilliant idea of a maritime academy.
In a National Address last year to the Territory, Hon Fraser said the academy would be a place of learning, both academic and vocational and would introduce a new maritime culture into the country.
“We were once a people of a maritime culture! Wouldn't it be nice then to have that restored?” the former Deputy Chief Minister asked.
The academy will promote conservation and sustainability and help to protect the marine environment by building geography and ecology into all aspects of a new national maritime curriculum.
The academy will also work with the US Coast Guard, The Royal Navy, Shipping Registry, VISAR, and the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force to train its cadets in all aspects of maritime security, the Third District Representative explained.
In selling his vision for the need for such a programme, Hon Fraser said, “the academy will ensure that the next generation of Virgin Islanders is instructed in essential maritime skills”.
Many have praised Hon Fraser for coming to the people of the Virgin Islands with ideas, and solutions to our many challenges and a message of hope. However, they have blasted the National Democratic Party for doing nothing after three long years in office but dividing the country, putting blacks against white, rich against poor and locals against expats.
Hon Fraser has consistently said he wants a harmonious society and has praised the significant contributions of our brothers and sisters from the Caribbean.
The panel for the ‘Let’s Talk Show’ also included Rajah A. Smith, a Youth Leader, Businessman and Political Activist and was hosted by VIP President Carvin Malone.

Its one thing, the VIP trying because they was not informing us about anything, election time coming so thats the smart way to try.
There is plenty of finger pointing to go around between both NDP and VIP and we need the news media to expose it all before the next elections take place. End all the corruption!
NDP is just full of Madison Ave marketing chatter they are not about Doing just Promises...The VIP continue to build this country VIP is about about doing, NDP ARE NOT DOING! But promising to DO!!!,
