SEA COW’S BAY, Tortola, VI – Students of the upper grades of the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School in Sea Cow's Bay were the most recent recipients of Ms Ayana S. Hull’s recent book.

The Pentateuch is a compilation of a number of books in the Holy Bible made simple and suitable for the reading pleasures of young people.

Today September 23, 2014 as she along with Representative of the Third District Honourable Julian Fraser RA introduced and distributed the books to the children of the upper grade of the school, it was observed of that the children were patiently waiting their turn to be recipients of their personal copy.

“I tell my mother we will read it together because I saw her with one and she told me Ms Ayana was going to give us at school,” said one of the students to her peers.

In reply the female student said, “We do devotion but I will read mine every day.” The two girls challenged each other to see who was going to complete reading their copy first and be able to accurately tell stories captured therein.

It is that kind of response Ms Hull, Hon. Fraser and others who have been supporting the distribution are looking forward to.

In her brief words to the children of that school Ms Hull challenged them that reading certain stories in the Pentateuch would teach them a number of values; one being that of not being negatively influenced by their peers and the other being how they could, and why they should, hold steadfastly to their dreams.

Honourable Fraser commended her efforts as he told the students why he decided to support the initiative and how beneficial it will be to them, the children, once they put it to use as they should.

Principal of the school Ms Sybil S. Hodge said that with the book being a part of their library collection and in the hands of the students they would be required to use it as part of the school’s religious education programme.

There goes that confusion spirit again. We bind it in the name of Jesus, every spirit of confusion seeking to rise up against us to divide and separate Virgin Islanders in any form, we cancel you. Every wicked, evil, devisive, boa constricting spirit, we crush your head in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

i dont support if it is only christianity they going to be teaching. Other nationalities live here as well…… for the most part, religion should be left for the house hold….government should not be taking on so much responsibilities of the parents….Parents feel now children at birth can just depend on the government to do everything and raise them…..

I don't know where you are from with your nonsense, but these island were founded on Christianity, not all kind of other religions that you all want to bring here. This is not the U.S.A. We don't care if you like it or not . These B.V.Is will remain a Christian society. Our Schools started in The Christian church halls.. Go and shut the hell up.

Christian and born again Christian are two different things. Being a christian don't mean you can't stand up for what you believe in and express it.

We are sorry but in the BVI God is still in control and He is still Lord. We welcome all nationalities here but not their religion or any practices that do not reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ. We uphold the teachings of Jesus Christ only and our children will only be taught those teachings. If you want your children to learn other teachings of other religions then teach them that at home but we pray against that also. But as for us and our children in our schools, we will serve the Lord.

Its political season. Fraser will support anything that provides a distraction from the issues and gives him publicity. This unfortunately qualifies.
