ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- There will be some extent of history made at the Third Sitting of the Fourth Session of the Second House of Assembly (HoA) of the Virgin Islands on February 12, 2015.

It will be the first time after three years that the leader of the newest political party in the Virgin Islands, People’s Empowerment Party (PEP), and veteran legislator Honourable J. Alvin Christopher (R2) will ask a question in the House.

He has been silent all along in terms of questions, leaving them to the fire brand Virgin Islands Party (VIP) opposition members Honourables Julian Fraser RA (R3) and Andrew A. Fahie (R1). Even the reserved Leader of the Opposition Honourable Ralph T. O’Neal OBE (R9) got in a question before.

According to the Order Paper obtained by this news site, through our traditional National Democratic Party (NDP) senior sources, Hon Christopher is to ask Premier Smith at Thursday’s sitting if funding for the completion of the Cruise Pier Extension Project (landside) being carried out by Tortola Pier Park was approved and the total cost of the project.

The former Communications and Workers Minister Hon Christopher wants to know if the Public Management Act of 2012 was violated as it relates to the BVI Ports Authority private sector investment for the project.

Also on the Order Paper, both Hons Fraser and Fahie will pepper front bench Ministers of the NDP Administration with a variety of other questions, ranging from issues on Education, Water, Ports Development Project, Finance, and Healthcare.

The Third Sitting of the Fourth Session of the Second House of Assembly will commence at 10:00 am at its chambers in Road Town, on the main Island of Tortola, and will be carried live on CBN Channel 51.

I say again that this Cruise Pier project is needed but there is tooooo much corruption in it. The Governor has turn out to be a complete waste of time. He allowed himself to be caught up in the company of these lying NDP. Father help us.

I wish I could put your thoughts on a billboard for all of the BVI to see. You are spot on 'again'

It must be so frustrating for you. You, obviously have the verification about the corruption. Andrew Fahie doesn't and so far neither does anyone else. Why are you sitting on this vital information? The Gov can only work with what is there in print and what he has...It would be his duty to pursue the matter if you would only give him the evidence. You could also publish the information online or in a local newspaper. Think of something, even if you do it anonymously . Otherwise , Vip and some followers are shooting themselves in the foot with what appears to be dishonest statements that could result in unwarranted damage to the economy and character of the BVI and especially if they(BVI) are elected.

Are you proud of all the above? Check the records they we all over budget including the Bride Beef Island by millions. They were reckless spendings, where was the governors when most of these project were left unfinished and out of money for the NDP to clean up? (Stop chatting crap about who build this)

Ralph picked up where HL left off. The airport, 4 lane highway were already there past the planning stage to be done. Even though plans were already there, they were altered! Altered so much so that those projects were way past budget and completion time. Remember, a couple people went jail for the airport project! Commercial court was a good thing. Sports Complex was an over inflated project (just before elections) that serves no real purpose. Erecting that building where it is spoiled the international certification for cricket.

When unnu done unnu say Alvin dunce but he is the one that is not intimidated by who went to college and PhD’s and obviously dealing with the egos in the Opposition. But because the NDP is so intolerant of criticism they have become a national joke while we continue to suffer under the inept Dr. Smith government.

love the blogging. Constructive and civil. I am sure Alvin is a good man. I just don`t see the fight in him, or the leader in him. He seems like he is in the bushes hiding waiting for the Lions to make a kill, then sneak out and eat the remains.
