Hon Fraser launches ‘Progressives United’ party
The candidates launched will be contesting the 2019 General Election which must be held by April 16, 2019.
One of the four candidates announced by the party is Ms Stephanie A. Brewley, aka ‘the Brown Girl in the Ring,’ who will be contesting the District 1 seat.
Other Candidates
Chairman of PU, Hon Fraser, is the District 3 candidate where he is seeking another 4-year term in office—after first being elected in 1999-current—and Dr Vincent G. Scatliffe, who previously served as Fourth District Representative (2007-2011] is the PU candidate in D4.
In addition, the District Five PU candidate is Dirk L. Walters, as first and accurately reported by our news centre weeks ago.
Who else on slate?
With no At-Large candidate announced, R. Dancia Penn QC, appears not to be running with the PU party for the 2019 elections race.
With the PU now official, it brings five political parties in the race. These are, the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) headed by Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1), National Democratic Party (NDP 1) headed by Hon Myron V. Walwyn (AL), an NDP 2 breakaway group Progressive Virgin Islands Movement (PVIM) headed by Hon Ronnie W. Skelton (AL), and the new Reform Action Alliance (RAA), with their leader unknown.
