ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Honourable Julian Fraser RA (R3) has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dr the Honourable Timothy S. Harris and Team Unity of St Kitts and Nevis (SKN) for their victory at the Monday February 16, 2015 general elections.

Dr Harris was on Wednesday sworn in on February 18, 2015 as the nation’s third Prime Minister, succeeding Dr the Honourable Denzil L. Douglas who had been Prime Minister since 1995.

The Team Unity alliance won 7 of 11 seats in a near landslide over the St Kitts-Nevis Labour Party and Nevis Reformation Party coalition led by former long time and controversial Prime Minister Douglas.

On the VIP’s radio show ‘Let’s Talk’ of Wednesday February 18, 2015 on ZBVI 780 AM, Hon Fraser said, “I would like to extend congratulations to Dr. [Timothy D. Harris] and his team from the Unity Party for their success in their long and hard fought battle to gain victory in the St. Kitts and Nevis general elections of Monday February 16th."

“I also want to say to the people of St. Kitts and Nevis, both here in the Virgin Islands and in St. Kitts and Nevis, that we respect your decision and we will continue to support you in your efforts to build your nation."

“I have had the privilege to meet with Dr. Harris on more than one occasion, the most recent of which was in December. I find him to be bright and well informed, but more importantly, he is committed to the development of the people and his country. Someone with that type of attitude could surely expect my support,” said Hon Fraser.

Hon Fraser ahead, NDP silent

Hon Fraser has been among the first in the region and the international community to offer congratulations to the new St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy S. Harris.

As of this story's post time February 20, 2015 no words of congratulations have been announced by the Dr. Smith led National Democratic Party Administration who had linked themselves with former Prime Minister Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.

Aside from Ronnie, and Marlone on a good day, there aren’t many NDPs I respect as sincere people anymore.

What is an insult is Fraser secretly meeting with Harris when he came here to campaign. Further insult is when he went to Myettes playing up to Governor Mapp after he done had big press meeting pitching Donna to people...looser

@ in the news. Do a sense a tinge of jealousy here? If Fraser has established beneficial contacts to the BVI with foreign leaders, we should be proud of him for having such reach, not jealous.

Don't be discouraged Mr Fraser, what this world needs more of is love. You seem to be a promoter.
