Fahie is to ask the Minister for Education and Culture to inform the House of the budgeted amount for the total perimeter wall project at the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) from 2014 to date, inclusive of all costs? and, further;

i) the total amount expended on the perimeter wall upgrade project to date inclusive of all soft and hard costs?

ii) state each Head and Subhead for which the project was charged, and the amount charged to each, to date? and

iii) state the budgeted cost to complete the upgrade project?

In addition Hon Fahie wants to know with regards to the total ESHS wall project:

i) the number of petty contracts issued for the upgrade project?

ii) the number of Purchase Orders issued for the upgrade project?

iii) the number of work orders for the upgrade project?

iv) the process used to select those that received contracts and those that received either purchase orders and/or work orders and/or otherwise, for the upgrade project?

If the question is not again deferred by the Speaker and Government, Hon Fahie will ask Mr Walwyn to provide a detailed listing of all petty contracts and purchase orders, work orders or otherwise, issued inclusive of names, amounts contracted, date issued, amounts paid and description of works or services?

Other front bench Ministers will also see questions from Hon Julian Fraser RA (R3), in particular the Premier and Leader of Government Business on the airport runway expansion.

You could pay one man $10 an hour from 7-3pm to build that wall. If it took him 6 weeks minus a lunch hour that's $2100 plus the materials; now tell me how we reached $1million?

With Education in the tube with lack of financial resources building a wall for q Million dollars is inadequate, inhumane and shamefully revealing of our national priorities as a country.

One characteristic of a failed state is the Inability to provide public services:
    Electricity, [e.g. reliability, affordability]
    Education, [e.g. (public) schools]
Emergency services, (e.g. Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, etc...)
Health care, [ e.g. elderly care, hospitals]

Are we in a failed state and the answer for some folks would be yes, while others would say we are very near it.
Lawmakers can take a victory lap, high five each other and add a rousing back slap for a job well done!
This is the true legacy of the lawmakers!

Any one want to comment on this..?

When Walwyn produces ALL the information for the wall, let him show ALL the information about the Recreational Park in West End that cost over $500K and the after school program that cost over $600K that Andrew and Claude were involved with and didn't even last a year. $1million is $1million, lay ALLLLL the cards on the table for we the people!

Just a question(question)...why Fahie's main focus is money during each sitting(is he making sure some left should he win) or is fahie building evidence to prosecute members for miss appropriation of the tax payers money(crime and unemployment: no one touching these things)

Myron should have records of his expenditures on that wall. He should be made to provide records of how he spent our money.

That money could have built a shelter for mental patients. We have no place for the mental and homeless to go....But we have a silly wall that anyone in good health can climb over. A million dollars could have built a junior high school for teens aged 12 to 15 to attend before they enter high school. Such a waste and how much was pocketed? Inquiring minds want to know!
