Strong leadership is the ability to make needed decisions that are at times unpopular and controversial. A Deputy Premier should have been appointed from day one. This 3 month rotation is a waste of time. In addition to the regular ministerial duties, what additional duties are the Deputy Premier responsible for when the Premier is in the territory and not incapacitated? Grow some stones and appoint either Hon C. Malone (AtL), MHSD, or someone else.

Appointing Carvin as Deputy Premier is simple common sense. He has been involved in politics for longer than Andrew, is the most senior member of the team and is very knowledgeable and well rounded in many subjects.

It’s not that big a deal though. Nobody in the history of the BVI has voted because of who the Deputy Premier or Deputy Chief Minister would be.
