ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The House of Assembly (HoA) of the Virgin Islands (VI) will meet again on Thursday, December 13, 2018, after what the Opposition described as, and was confirmed by the Speaker to be ‘an illegal sitting’ that was attempted on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

The Order Paper is expected to be much of the same with the Opposition asking questions and a few Bills.

The Speaker, Honourable Ingrid A. Moses-Scatliffe, had embarrassed the Leader of Government Business at the ‘illegal sitting’ last week when Premier, Dr the Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL) attempted to push through the sitting in contravention of the 10 days notice being served on members.

 Dr Smith embarrassed

She shut him down and said no, to the displeasure of the Deputy Premier and Minister for Natural Resources and Labour Dr the Honourable Kedrick D. Pickering (R7).

The public still awaits, as when the HoA will be dissolved, as many residents and the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) are calling for elections now!

Much disrespectful behaviour in the HOA. I wonder what other ills Orlando did during his tenure as the worst leader of a government in the Virgin Islands?
