ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands House of Assembly (HoA) or Parliament will meet again on Thursday March 9, 2017 just a week later after legislators met to pass the 2017 Budget.

This was confirmed by the Clerk of the House Mrs Phyllis Evans in a media notice issued yesterday March 2, 2017. It will be the Fifth Sitting of the Second Session of the Third House of Assembly.

While the Order Paper has not been released to the public or Members, it is unclear if there will be new questions from the Opposition Members. There have been some outstanding questions left over from a previous Sitting and it’s not known whether they will be addressed.

There are 13 elected Members of the HoA, plus a non-elected Attorney General who is a civil servant, as well as a Speaker elected by the Members of the majority party.

The National Democratic Party has 11 seats to the Virgin Islands Party’s 2. Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL) is the Premier and Leader of Government Business and Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) is the Leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition.

Another opportunity to sneak in more airport approvals before there is an uprising!! Come on minister's, you have heard from the people, take this opportunity to vote the airport on delay until infrastructure is fixed 100%. Do it yourselves like the women and men you are (could be) and do not wait for the U.K. to order it.

The ideal outcome of course is for the House to vote down all these bills that does nothing for our people!!!,
