HM Customs seizes vessel 'Thalia'
When we visited The Moorings today March 3, 2016, the boat named 'Thalia' was tied up along Dock 'C' and Customs tape marked “Seized by BVI Customs” was placed on various parts of the vessel.
This is the second vessel in a matter of about six weeks that the Customs has held on to and which was kept in custody at The Moorings.
On February 18, 2016 this news site reported that Customs had seized a vessel named 'One Love', which we had also found moored at The Moorings.
When this news site contacted Commissioner of Customs Wade Smith to confirm the seizure and say what it was seized for, he said, “Well if the tape is around it I can't comment on it right now. Sorry about that.”
We will continue to follow this story and bring you updates as more information comes to light.
