ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- HireBVI is once again helping to ensure that as many children as possible are fully geared for school, with its annual Back to School Fun Day.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday August 24, 2019 at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park, Tortola from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

According to HireBVI, the back to school fun day, under the theme, “The Future is Now” is a day simply set aside for family and fun.

It said the day will be filled with entertainment for both students and parents, alike.  Bouncy castles, face painting, Jenga, and Plinko are among some of the activities slated for the Fun Day.

Hundreds of backpacks to be distributed

HireBVI said it will distribute hundreds of bags with school supplies.

The event will also see the provision of free health screening as well as free haircuts/ styles for students.

“Many after school/children-focused programmes will be present, conducting registration and distributing information. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Marz and ABM along with food and drinks on sale,” HireBVI stated.

Rekeema S. Turnbull, Managing Director, noted that, “As the local employment agency, we are aware that many parents are still unemployed especially following Hurricane Irma and Maria in 2017. Therefore, HireBVI has taken on the corporate responsibility to provide assistance accordingly. We are encouraging all to attend early in order to fully benefit from the event."

The items to be distributed, according to Ms Turnbull, were garnered through the assistance of corporate Virgin Islands.
