ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The weather forecast for the Virgin Islands (VI) today, November 8, 2018—according to the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services—indicates the presence of atmospheric moisture and instability from a mid-level trough.
This, together with low level wind flow, will cause occasional periods of cloudiness and passing showers over the Territory.
The forecast for the evening also foresees partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with a 40 per cent, or moderate chance of passing showers.
Winds are expected to hold average speeds between 8 to 14 knots or 15 to 26km/h.
Sea farers are also being warned to exercise caution since a combination of wave and swells reaching between 1.2 to1.8 meters or four to six feet are expected.
“Small craft operators should exercise caution against marginally safe seas.”
