VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- A promise of great showmanship when veterans collide with the fresh off the boat contenders is how Public Relations Officer of the Virgin Gorda Easter Festival Adrianna J. Soverall, in a nutshell, described the Miss Bold and Beautiful pageant on Saturday March 25, 2017.

Contestant #1 is Sylvanna Charles, Contestant #2 is Monique C. Chapdelaine, Contestant #3 Hakiema Matthew and Contestant #4 Khadija Clarke, who will compete in Introduction, Swim Wear, Talent and Evening wear at the Catholic Community Center in Spanish Town.

The show is being held under the theme: Heaven on earth.

Highly anticipated show

Soverall explained that quite apart from being beautiful and bold, these brave souls are bringing uniqueness to the stage. Plus, in the case of Charles and Chapdelaine, they are no strangers to the pageantry stage. She informed that Charles is a former Miss Easter Festival queen and Chapdelaine an accomplished singer and beauty queen.

“It seems to be one of the most anticipated shows that we have had for the year because we have some experienced contenders,” Ms Soverall told this news site in an exclusive interview on Tuesday March 21 2017.

“We have these vibrant young ladies who have a tremendous amount of support, each of them brings something unique to the table and I think that alone makes the show so anticipated. It’s going to be a show that no one wants to miss.”

Soverall said the shows are ways to build momentum within the territory in the lead up to the Golden Jubilee celebration.

“Because it is the 50th anniversary we are trying to bring back all the shows that we have had in the past and we want to build the enthusiasm of the Virgin Gorda and the BVI community,” she noted. “We haven’t had a Miss Bold and Beautiful in quite some time and we have been having women ask for the show for years now and this year the opportunity presented itself so we couldn’t pass on it.”

Mr GQ won by Darnell Flax

On Saturday March 14, 2017, the Gentleman of Quality show was also held, with Darnell Flax emerging the winner and first runner-up going to Dwayne Lennard.

Other Contestants were: Tristan Liburd and Jeremy Rubaine.

Best Introduction was won by Darnell Flax, while the Popularity award, Best Evening Attire, and Best Talent went to Dwayne Lennard.

The award for Best Swim Wear was taken by Tristan Liburd.

Being heavy doesn't mean one is unhealthy. There are several thin and average persons who are walking around who are unhealthy too. Let's celebrate their boldness and have fun in these troubling times.

I guarantee that this show will be huge. Big things are sure to happen. Tons of fun. If my pockets were fat I was definitely getting VIP tickets but that $50 is a heavy burden on my little bank account.
