SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- Information is still emerging regarding an armed robbery on Isabella's Bar and Restaurant in Sea Cows Bay on Tortola last night, Sunday November 19, 2017.

However, reports reaching our newsroom indicate that around 9:30 PM a lone gunman wearing a mask pounced on the ‘Spanish Bar’ and made off with cash.

It is unclear the amount of money taken, whether patrons of the bar were also robbed or the type of gun the lone male used to carry out the crime.

Police are still investigating the incident and did not immediately respond to questions up to publication time.

Lift curfew- Julian Willock

It is important to note that the alleged robbery took place before the curfew and it again shows the curfew is not an effective way to fight crime, according to former Permanent Secretary and Businessman Julian Willock, who has emerged as the lone voice calling for the lifting of the 3-month old restrictions.

Our newsroom will bring more details on the robbery at Isabella's Bar and Restaurant when they become available.

Again, it doesn’t matter what time it is for a criminal to pounce. We don’t have enough crime to warrant a curfew. If adults want to be out at night at their own risk, so be it. A curfew is needed for large amounts of crime which we don’t have.

Yeah I agree with willox, just lift the dawn curfew. It seems to me that persons in favor of this curfew either have no social life or go home early.

Well allow the rest of us to carry on

You really think that a social life only begins after 11pm? Is a social life THAT important that y'all have a NEED to be out where there is barely streetlights? You want a criminal to pounce on you when you can't see anything? Please grow a brain!

Time alone. Dont worry they will pounce on the wrong person and get some hot iron in their ass. Let them keep it up!

Wish they would put curfew to at least 5-5:30 for those of us who want to go exercise programs. By time 6 too late; most of us have kids and need to be out house by 7:30. Please reconsider, need my exercise

The bar should have already closed at 9pm according to the license act.

It was a feeble minded attempt to help pay off the BVI national debt.
