SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is said to be intensely investigating the finding of a gun and several rounds of ammunition at Ellis Thomas Downs late last night January 7, 2018.

According to reports reaching this news site, a police squad rushed to the Sea Cows Bay facility following frantic calls that a flurry of shots was fired in the area. "Thought somebody got killed I tell you," said a source who claimed to have heard what sounded like gunshots.

The shooting reportedly occurred close to 11:00 P.M. This news site was further told that two men were shot at but managed to escape unhurt. It is unclear how many persons did the shooting.

It is also not clear if the gun and ammunition were found on a person or property of a specific person, or if anyone was taken into custody.

"I understand no one got hurt though. Then men went scattering," the source claimed.

Police Information Officer Diane L. Drayton confirmed the reports of shooting but was unable to provide any further information.

"I can confirm a shooting incident at the Downs in Sea Cows Bay last night. No injuries were reported. No further details can be given at this time," Ms Drayton said minutes ago, January 8, 2018.

Here I am proud each day from January 1st about not seeing any news about Guns etc. I was thinking how amazing January it would have been if we made it the 1st month without any issues like the one above. Yet to have 6/7 days without Violent crimes is still alright I guess. People have many reasons too beef, sadly when the generation beef usually drugs are involved. It’s really no longer surpriseing how many people actually don’t really care (unless) it’s in their house and their affected. I do hope 2018 more people are brave enough to voice their thoughts without hiding with a fake user name and for once stand up and be proud. The silence is what killing us. Your vocals could save us. Could save yourself.

That is the new place for the gangsters to hang out. NOTE: the police department need to patrol that area. Again. That is where the gangsters go after dark to do their dirty business. They stash, sell and buy drugs in that spot. You really think those gun shots was blazing because someone went there that time of night to buy groceries?
