VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI – The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Community Policing Futsal League 2015 concluded on Thursday October 29, 2015 with the handing out of various awards.

The tournament, the first of its kind, was held at the Old Yard Village Tennis courts in the Valley, Virgin Gorda. The league had a total of five teams participating including VG Police, Young Gunners, Blues, Assassins and the Green Stallions.

The league was a two round, round-robin with the Green Stallions emerging as Champions with one loss and seven wins, conceding just a single goal.

League games were held on Thursdays and ran over a two-week period with each team playing four ten-minute games.

After the league finished, the organisers then held a Champion of Champions night with a round robin between the teams, culminating in the first and second place teams on points playing for the Champion of Champions’ trophy.

The Green Stallions dominated again, playing the blues in the final. Stallions went undefeated and claimed the Champion of Champions cup

The Most Goals Award went to Andres Bailey of the Assassins, Emerging Player Award went to young Allan Williams of Young Gunners and MVP went to McGraw Baptiste of Green Stallions.
