Repeated efforts by this news site to today to reach Governor elect Mapp or his press contact Lisa Posey for a further comment proved futile. Mapp, an Independent was victorious at the elections of November 4, 2014 and the runoff elections of November 18, 2014 along with his Tortola-born running mate Lieutenant Governor elect Osbert E. Potter.
