Government House landscaper Junior Peters reported missing

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A Jamaica national and Carrot Bay resident employed at Government House as a landscaper, Mr Junior Peters, has been reported missing, according to police.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, Mr Peters, around age 50, was last seen on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Horse Path engaged in landscaping activities at a private residence.

His tools/machines and other items were reportedly located at the house, and substance believed to be blood was also allegedly seen.

Reports of the missing man were confirmed by Police Information Officer, Ms Akia L. Thomas today, June 30, 2020.

Anyone with information relating to Mr Peters' whereabouts is asked to call or visit the nearest Police Station.

Meanwhile, Governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert, prior to the start of his live press discussion today, June 30, 2020, said the situation is “very worrying” for him and his office.

“We hope he is well and my team and the police are searching for him but if anybody has any information relating to Junior Peters please ring 311,” Governor Jaspert said.

    hope Junior is found today. He might have been hurt and rolled down the hill. We are not thorough searchers and history has shown that people we looking for was right in front of us but we didn't look good enough. Praying he will be found safe

    Junior no one knows u like the staff at Governors residents and office your kind annoying at times but always can be depended on. On my sick days u held my head that I don’t fall over u had my back even when we couldn’t agree on everything but that’s what families do argue and make up. My heart is heavy and hearing this took apart of me I pray for your safe return and asked that the public stand united as this is a season for change we marched for a change a caused and this is also a cause it’s my cry as a friend and coworker and I can speak on behalf of all Governor house team that he is loved by us all and we need u to join hands with us to find him.

    Junior is a father a husband and friends to many and live by all so please let join in anyway possible to assist even my heart bleeds for him he is a mother’s child we have to look past all differences and get him home to his loved ones don’t give up on him he needs us and we need him my prayers are with you and your family love always #trouble maker.

        Personally, I appreciate the candid statements. I got insight into Mr Peter's humanity as seen by one with sincere love and appreciation for Mr Peters.

    Ive known Jr. for many years. He has always been kind and respectful to me. I am sad to hear this news of him missing. I pray in Jesus name that he is safe and will return to his family and friends. Let us all say a prayer for him and his loved ones. May Almighty God richly bless his precious life. Amen ........
