Games in Hon Fraser League continue this weekend

DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- Intense action in the Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed Basketball League is continuing at the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff’s Bottom this evening, August 21, 2015.

Doing battle are Real Tool and Young Star with the game to follow being between Talk Done and Pure Playaz at 8pm.

The feature clash will be between Splash Brothers and Spartans from 9:30pm.

Tomorrow, Saturday August 22, 2015 will see defending champions Bayside Blazers taking on Warriors from 6pm. Avengers and Starz will then go head to head from 8pm while Knights and Z6ne 6 Ballers will collide from 9:30pm.

A double header is planned for Sunday.

Fans were concerned about whether the games would have been affected for this weekend owing to the approaching Hurricane Danny, however, Chairman of the League Julian Willock, in an invited comment to this news site, said so far the games are on as scheduled.

“The games continue all weekend. While we have an indoor facility we are monitoring the weather. As of today we see no effect on the games this weekend. Games are on as normal,” Mr Willock stated.

The Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed Basketball League bounced off on Saturday August 15, 2015 with Bayside Blazers taking a thrilling overtime win over Knights in a repeat of last year’s final.

The other game saw Z6ne 6 Ballers conquering Spartans.

The opening games were witnessed by a large crowd of over 300 at the Save the Seed Energy Centre basketball court.

    Really starving for something. That league is a&% and 90% of the players are a%&. Guess that's why games are always close. Basketball on island is piss poor. Especially compared to other islands. Let's spend more money on developing fundamentals than we do leagues.

    Last night games were great... But Blazers lost to the Warriors referee's blatantly cheat the other team two times at the end of the game... Other than that the games were good
