ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Disgraced former Confederation of North Central American and Caribbean Football Association (CONCACAF) president, Jeffrey Webb is set to be sentenced in June 2016 after recently pleading guilty to corruption charges in the United States.

Caymanian Webb, who as head of  the continental governing body for football in CONCACAF, visited the [British] Virgin Islands last year as part of the BVI Football Association’s (BVIFA) 40th Anniversary Celebrations, will be sentenced on June 3, 2016.

Webb recently pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy, three counts of wire fraud conspiracy and three counts of money laundering conspiracy, charges levelled by United States prosecutors.

According to the US Department of Justice, Webb agreed to forfeit US $6.7 million as part of his plea.

A former FIFA vice-president and Executive Committee member, Webb was one of several football officials arrested in a pre-dawn raid by Swiss police and subsequently indicted as part of an elaborate racketeering and corruption schemed alleged by the US Department of Justice.

He was extradited to the US to face the charges where he pleaded not guilty and was placed on US $10 million bond.

The former Cayman Islands Football Association president is currently under house arrest at his home in Atlanta.

I am sorry for Webb and Warner in this calamity but I find we here dont say much of Blatter,Blazer, Platini and the others who are so deep into this too, but you see if anyone blogging in the negative vibes and you know you receive any of the bribes you better put down your hand and keep quiet as your turn may soon come.

The FIFA bribary scandal may have some implications for the BVI. The former president has been barred from holding any office in the football federation. When the US starts to indite people such as Jeffrey Webb then the net will implicate all the territories of the Caribbean from Guyana to Jamaica. The fat person who was president will not sleep properly. Talk half and wait for the FBI.

You see what happens the big scammers in FIFA get only 8 meager years to stay out and people like Jack and Webb will be hammered for life. Fifa to me is all about race, colour and creed, match and venue fixing, payment under the table for some of the big fishes, etc. Now that all this and more have leaked out some want to put Women football on high and this shoukd have done a long long time ago. Perhaps corruption would not have been on a rampant if more stress was placed on Women football and more women were placed at the high powered positions.
