VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI - The Bregado Flax Educational Centre Secondary Division is the recipient of an equipment donation from telecommunications provider Flow, as part of the company’s Missions Day community outreach activities. The donation of a multifunctional photo-copier and lawn-mower was made to the Principal, Hilroy George and the staff of the secondary division.

Head of Commercial, Ravindra Maywahlall said that the company was delighted to make the donation to aid in the school’s restoration process.

He explained, “A few weeks ago when we visited the institution to assess its rebuilding needs, a number of relief items were identified by Principal George and his team. Flow then determined where and how we could immediately assist with those needs, in line with our mission of Connecting Communities; Transforming Lives.”

Maywahlall stated, “We believe that our children are the future and it is important that we continue to invest in all aspects of their education. It is in this vein that Flow is pleased to be an education partner with the Ministry of Education and Culture, and the Bregado Flax Educational Centre Secondary Division with its restoration efforts. Flow is committed to a long-term rebuilding partnership, in collaboration with Rotary International, to assist the institution with a number of initiatives which include rebuilding and repair works to the school’s buildings that were damaged during Hurricanes Irma and Maria.”

Mission Day was celebrated in the BVI by Flow for the third consecutive year. The purpose of Mission Day is to celebrate and demonstrate to stakeholders, how employees live the company’s mission – Connecting Communities, Transforming Lives – by engaging in volunteerism work within our communities.

@ A word to the wize. This was not a giveaway to the Government but rather an investment into our children, the future of this territory. Thank you Flow for your generous donation. We appreciate your efforts. Perhaps other service providers can make other such meaningful contributions. By the way, Claudia Creque School in Anegada could also benefit from a photocopier.
