Fish Bay woman jailed for theft

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A 27-year-old woman is now an inmate of Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP) in Balsam Ghut after she was sentenced in the Magistrate’s Court for theft.

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) in its Arrest Blotter of June 28 – July 11, 2020, Tarfa Degazon of Fish Bay was arrested and charged on July 7, 2020, for Theft.

She subsequently appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was sentenced to three months at Her Majesty’s Prison.

ISSUING A DISHONORED CHEQUE

On 09-07-20 at 1:30pm, Police arrested and charged Ian Thomas, 53 of Old Plantation for Issuing a Dishonored Cheque. He was granted bail in the amount of $10,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 01-09-20 at 9:00am.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On July 5, 2020 at 11:15am, Police arrested and charged Elston Mclean, 51 of Cane Garden Bay for Criminal Damage. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 01-09-20.

On July 11, 2020 at 2:00am, Police arrested and charged Mario Reyes Umana, 42 of Johnson’s Ghut for Criminal Damage, Failure to Provide a Specimen of Blood or Urine and Drunkenness When in Charge of a Motor Vehicle. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 25-08-20.

CULTIVATION OF CANNABIS

On July 4, 2020 at 12:20pm, Police arrested and charged Kodero Mills, 22 of Baugher’s Bay for Cultivation of Cannabis and Possession of a Controlled Drug. He was granted bail in the amount of $3,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 15-09-20.
