USVI Gov't signs agreement to build horse racing facility on St Croix

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- US Virgin Islands (USVI) Governor Albert A. Bryan Jr on Thursday, September 15, 2022, signed an agreement with VIGL that clears all remaining obstacles to enable the horse racing management company to begin the reconstruction of the Randall 'Doc' James Racetrack on St Croix, Government House has announced.

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — In a letter addressed to Casino Control Commission Chairwoman Violet Ann Golden, TRAXCO revealed that it would vacate the Randall ‘Doc’ James racetrack in St Croix, US Virgin Islands on May 6, 2016 following a complaint filed by the Department of Justice in District Court asking the court to force TRAXCO out of the Randall ‘Doc’ James racetrack.

Really Uptown sends opposition back to drawing board!

ST CROIX, USVI – Sunday’s races at the Randall ‘Doc’ James racetrack in St Croix have now gone in the annals and as the dust settles horse owners are already thinking about what they may need to do next time to stop the seemingly invincible Really Uptown. The horse from the L&B Stables ran a blistering and record breaking pace in the feature race on February 17, 2013.
