DDM under fire for no ‘sirens warning system’ during Tsunami alert
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- It was on January 10, 2018 that the Government run Department of Disaster Management (DDM) issued via social media and a press release a Tsunami warning for the Territory, following a 7.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred north of Honduras.
'Nothing is being held up'- DDM Director amid criticisms over aid distribution
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - "Nothing is being held up. Everything will move out of this container. When the supplies came on the ground, the distribution was done widely, no one was isolated. Everyone had an opportunity to access the relief."
One Mart donates over $30,000 worth of relief items to DDM
