1 of the $7M BVI Airways jets arrives @ Beef Island airport
BEEF ISLAND, VI- While the public still seems to be unsettled with the National Democratic Party (NDP) Administration bailing out the bankrupt BVI Airways to the tune of $7M in exchange for direct flights between Miami International Airport and the Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island, today November 2, 2016 marked an important day in the bailout deal.
$7M later, two deadlines passed, still no BVI Airways flights!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands (VI) taxpayers have bailed out a defunct BVI Airways that left abruptly in 2014 owing the BVI Airports Authority close to 100,000 United States dollars.
