Gov Mapp making another attempt to remove Judge Dunston

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI — Unsatisfied with a federal judgement that permanently barred him from removing Judge Michael C. Dunston as the presiding judge of the territory’s Superior Court, US Virgin Islands (USVI) Governor Kenneth E. Mapp on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 filed a notice with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals — the Pennsylvania court being the house of justice that hears US Virgin Islands Third Circuit appeal cases — in an ongoing attempt to remove Dunston from his role.
Judge extends Order against Gov Mapp for 2 more weeks

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- Federal Judge Curtis Gomez on Friday July 8, 2016 extended a two-week restraining order against US Virgin Islands (USVI) Governor Kenneth E. Mapp by two more weeks, preventing the territory’s leader from replacing Judge Michael C. Dunston with Judge Harold A. Willocks as presiding judge of the territory’s Superior Court.
USVI Gov Mapp removes Presiding Judge Dunston

FREDERICKSTED, St Croix, USVI - USVI Governor Kenneth E. Mapp on Friday June 17, 2016 announced the appointment of Judge Harold A. Willocks to serve as presiding judge of the Superior Court of the US Virgin Islands. Judge Willocks will replace current Presiding Judge Michael C. Dunston.
