While Officials in senior management of the company are tight lipped about the sale in not confirming or denying the question, however, word is that a large hardware and food company operating in the United States Virgin Islands may have an interest in its purchase.
Confusion: minimum wage still $4.00 in the VI; no laws to increase to $6.00
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Confusion and misinformation continue to circulate about the Virgin Islands minimum wage. As of today January 12, 2016 the minimum wage to be paid by law in the British Overseas Territory of the Virgin Islands (VI) remains at $4.00 an hour and not $6.00.

‘Min. wage should be at least $7.00’ – Radio show caller
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - A caller to the Speak Out BVI radio show of Tuesday March 24, 2015 on ZBVI 780 AM believes that even if the minimum wage is raised from $4.00 to $6.00, it would not cover the cost of a round trip for someone living on Anegada who has to travel to conduct business on the main island of Tortola.
