7 races carded for Pre-Valentine’s Races @ Ellis Thomas Downs this Sunday
SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- After inclement weather and other issues twice prevented 5 races on the 2019 Boxing Day Horse Race Card organised by the Virgin Islands Horse Owners Association, the races will now be run on another card dubbed Pre-Valentine’s Races at Ellis Thomas Downs in Sea Cows Bay this Sunday, February 2, 2020.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- It was a sad day for both the Rhymer family and the Territory when Mrs Josephine Rhymer, who along with her husband held the distinction of being the longest surviving married couple in the Virgin Islands, passed away on April 12, 2017.

Rhymer are well known as the Virgin Islands oldest surviving couple, became the territory’s latest centenarian yesterday, November 9, 2016, following on the heels of Henrietta A. Smith who reached the blessed milestone on October 25, 2016.
