Over 36 students, several teachers reportedly treated for mould infections

CARROT BAY, Tortola, VI – It was a morning of high emotion, tears and tension at the Isabella Morris Primary School in Carrot Bay when the Minister for Education and Culture Hon. Myron V. Walwyn called an emergency meeting with teachers, parents and the school’s administration with the intention of agreeing on temporarily relocating students and teachers affected by mould, which is being blamed for a wave of health complications at the school.

Smugglers Cove vendors ordered to cease “illegal” operation

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – In a latest twist of events, vendors who were operating at Smugglers Cove beach have been ordered yesterday April 3, 2012 to cease operation until they have obtained their requisite licenses to operate a business.
The vendors were handed their letters by Police officers with the presence of officials from the Health Department who also clamped down on those selling food.
