NDP to finally establish Register of Interest Committee
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- After almost ten years and counting and many “say games” played by both political parties, the National Democratic Party (NDP) Administration will form the Register of Interests Standing Select Committee of the House of Assembly, which is a critical component of the Register of Interest Act of 2006.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- With all the chatter and unconfirmed reports about which politician is stealing money from Government, which one bought a mega yacht and which one continues to engage in conflict of interest in order to pay himself directly and indirectly, eight years later most of the elected officials in the Virgin Islands House of Assembly (HoA) have still not declared their interests to the Register of Interests.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The 2007 Virgin Islands Constitution has a provision in section 112 for a Registrar of Interest whereby elected officials must declare their assets, income and liabilities. However, the record is not public.
