USVI sets 50,000 vaccination goal

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- On the US mainland, some scholars are confident that the country will achieve Covid-19 herd immunity by April, a projection that would end the pandemic, by some estimates, rather early. Particularly, Johns Hopkins professor Martin Makary wrote in a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed that the US will achieve the feat, pointing to a steep 77 percent decline in cases in the past six weeks.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI - The USVI Department of Health announced that it would stop administering vaccine doses it received from a particular batch of the Moderna drug, the same vaccine batch sent to counties across California now being blamed a higher than usual number of recipients responding with severe allergic reactions.

2 USVI police officers, National Guards held in US cocaine bust
