USVI Travel Portal to be discontinued June 1, 2022

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- The USVI Travel Portal, launched during the Covid-19 pandemic in an attempt to minimise the spread of the virus from individuals entering the US Virgin Islands (USVI), will be discontinued on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, Governor Albert A. USVI boxer Guilty on 6 counts of Child Sexual Abuse & Child Porn

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- A federal jury on Friday, April 22, 2022, returned guilty verdicts on all six counts of child sexual abuse and child pornography production charges against St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (USVI) boxer John A. Jackson, who in February 2019 was arrested by federal authorities. As a result of the verdict, Jackson faces 15 years to life in prison.

Active COVID-19 cases surge to 161 in USVI

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- The BA.2 variant of Covid-19 continues to give rise to new infections in the U.S. Virgin Islands after being identified in the territory last week, but there are few signs that BA.2, which is a subvariant of the original Omicron strain of Covid-19, will cause a surge to the levels seen late December and through January in the Virgin Islands.
