Christmas Day accident leaves one dead on St Croix

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — A man died early Monday morning, December 25, 2017 during an accident that occurred on the Melvin Evans Highway a half mile away from the Sunny Isle stoplights on St Croix, US Virgin Islands (USVI), according to St Croix Rescue’s David Goodrich who, along with other St Croix Rescue members, [US] Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) and emergency medical technicians, was on the scene following the fatal accident.

Pilot was not licensed to fly multi-engine aircraft that crashed in USVI

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — The pilot who operated the plane that crashed at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in St Croix, US Virgin Islands (USVI) on Thursday night, December 7, 2017 killing all five occupants, including a member of the Stylee Band, was not licensed to operate a multi-engine plane like the one he operated that fateful night, according to official Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) records obtained by The Consortium.

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — A man told police he was shot after 1:00 A.M on Saturday November 25, 2017 while on the dance floor of popular local nightclub Chris Hideaway, St Croix, US Virgin Islands (USVI) but the [US] Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) are still investigating the matter, as no witness has been able to corroborate the victim’s version of the incident, Police Commissioner Delroy Richards told The Consortium early Sunday November 26, 2017.
