Gomez sentenced three defendants for a money laundering conspiracy that operated from Los Angeles, California to St Thomas, US Virgin Islands, United States Attorney Ronald W. Sharpe announced today, December 20, 2016.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI— United States Virgin Islands (USVI) Superior Court Judge Denise Francois sentenced Adisa Bertrand to 25 years in prison, with credit for time served, for the murder of Shantee Sievenwright, the [US]VI Department of Justice announced late Friday, December 9, 2016.

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- Federal Judge Ruth Miller on Wednesday October 5, 2016 issued an order releasing Wayne A. G. James, who was indicted on October 1, 2015 on two counts of wire fraud and one count of federal programme embezzlement and is facing multiple years imprisonment, to the custody of his sister Grete James Garcia, and her husband Kwame Garcia.

Controversial Magistrate sends Violet ‘Letty’ Hodge to prison for 6 years

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- In a heavily guarded Road Town Police Station, horse racing legend and businesswomen Mrs Violet 'Letty' Hodge was today September 12, 2016 sentenced to six years in prison and fined $100,000 by controversial Magistrate Ayanna O. Baptiste DaBreo of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
