Some voters disenfranchised due to early elections call- Elections Supervisor

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The early elections date called by Premier Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith has not only caught many persons aspiring to run for political office off guard but has even disenfranchised some persons eligible to vote. Added to that, the Elections Office was also affected by the sudden announcement as it was unable to complete the processing of voter’s identification cards.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Supervisor of Elections (SOE) Juliette Penn said the Preliminary Voters List has been posted and from yesterday May 11, 2015 began a four day period of Claims and Objections.

More polling stations among considerations for 2015 Elections!

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Not surprisingly, the amount of polling stations for General Elections is among the issues that would be looked at by the Elections Office in order for an even more efficient electoral process come next four years.
